REGULATION OF THE COMPULSORY REGISTRATION OF REAL ESTATE AND PROPERTY AGENTS IN THE COMMUNITY OF VALENCIA
Until 2022, in the field of real estate in the Valencian Community, no special qualification or specific guarantee was required towards clients. However, in the same year a new regulation was approved in order to guarantee the protection and welfare of clients, both sellers and buyers, as well as landlords and tenants.
As of August 2023, all real estate agents operating in the Valencian Community must be duly registered. The deadline for registration is 15 October 2023 and, from that date onwards, it will be compulsory to have the corresponding registration in order to continue operating legally.
The main purpose of this new regulation is to foster confidence in the real estate sector and ensure compliance with legal obligations. The measure aims to guarantee professional conduct and maximum protection for both operators and sellers in the real estate market.
